Mingtiandi | “Macquarie-backed Unified Industrial, Singapore’s Boustead Creating $3.5 Billion Logistics Platform”

Unified Industrial, a regional developer and fund manager backed by Macquarie Asset Management, has agreed to acquire the property and fund management business of SGX-listed Boustead Singapore to create a new platform with $3.5 Billion in assets under management across Japan, China, Singapore, and Vietnam. Dubbed UIB, the platform will target investments in high-growth sectors, particularly logistics and data centers.

IREI | “CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust Management Names New CEO”

CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust Management has appointed Tan Choon Siang as CEO, replacing Tony Tan, who has served as the CEO and Executive Director of the company since May 2017. Tan Choon Siang is currently the Deputy CEO of the company, and his new appointment as CEO and Executive Director is part of the succession planning and leadership renewal process.

IPE Real Assets | “Hill Leaves Cohen & Steers to Head Principal’s Real Estate Research”

Principal Asset Management has hired Richard Hill from Cohen & Steers to Head Global Real Estate Research and Strategy at the firm. Hill, who joined Cohen & Steers as Head of Real Estate Strategy and Research in September 2022, will now lead the $100 Billion Principal Real Estate’s Global Real Estate Research team, providing clients with the firm’s economic and real estate insights.

TMG Partners has made several promotions. Former Co-CEO Matt Field is now Vice Chairman, former Regional Partner Ben Kochalski is promoted to President and CIO, and Ken Dupee, formerly Managing Director of Development, is Managing Director of Real Estate. Kochalski has been a Regional Partner since 2019 and opened the firm’s Silicon Valley office.

Housing Today | “Peabody Appoints New Chief Investment Officer as it Combines Development and Property Services Teams”

Peabody has announced Phil Jenkins as its new Chief Investment Officer. Jenkins, currently Executive Director of Development at the G15 landlord, will from 1 April lead a new investment directorate formed as part of a plan to improve services. The new department will combine the 108,000-home landlord’s existing development and property services and assets teams into one.
