RF Sponsors Agape as a Challenge Match Donor
Shelter, Sustenance and Stability for Women and Children of North Texas
November 2016 | Dallas, TX – On September 22nd, RealFoundations participated as a Challenge Match Donor in the North Texas Giving Day online event, sponsoring Agape Resource & Assistance Center, Inc. and contributing to a total fundraising of $40,205 for the charity.
Agape is a non-profit organization in Collin County, TX, dedicated to providing shelter, sustenance and stability to women and children in the North Texas area who are experiencing crisis, many of whom have been victims of abuse or violence. Not only does Agape provide affordable housing to these single women and their children through the Housing 4 Hope program, but they also offer education, mentoring and counseling, ultimately helping families to become self-sufficient while bringing hope and empowerment to those in despair.
To continue their mission, Agape relies heavily on sponsorship and donor contributions, participating in various fundraising events throughout the year which also bring awareness to the homelessness and poverty issues in North Texas. “We believe the amazing community support through North Texas Giving Day is a heartfelt affirmation of the transforming work Agape plays in the lives of the homeless women and children we serve”, states Janet Collinsworth, Founder and Executive Director of Agape. “Having RealFoundations step out boldly as a North Texas Giving Day Challenge Match Sponsor both this year and last says so much for the leadership of RF and their strong commitment to improving the communities in which RF works. We believe the RF Challenge Match is a big reason why Agape was able to surpass our goal in 2016.”
In addition to event sponsorships and contributions, various non-monetary donations such as toiletries, baby products, office supplies, as well as gift cards to Walmart and Safeway are also encouraged and highly appreciated.
