EQT has agreed to acquire UK-based private equity firm Coller Capital in a transaction valued at up to $3.7 Billion, marking the Swedish buyout group’s entry into the private capital secondaries market. Under the terms of the deal, EQT will pay a base consideration of $3.2 Billion, funded through the issuance of new EQT ordinary shares. An additional earn-out of up to $500 Million will be payable in cash, subject to the achievement of certain performance milestones.

British Land has agreed a recommended £150 Million ($206 Million USD) cash-and-shares acquisition of Life Science REIT, which will boost its exposure to science and technology assets in the ‘golden triangle’ between London, Cambridge and Oxford. Under the terms of the deal, which will be implemented via a court-sanctioned scheme of arrangement, Life Science REIT shareholders will receive 14.1p in cash and 0.07 new British Land shares for each share held.
