Cerberus Capital Management is quietly raising Billions of dollars for an opportunistic real estate fund. The New York-based alternative asset manager has a $3 Billion target for its Cerberus Institutional Real Estate Partners VII fund, which is expected to close in the first half of 2026. The fund will target data center and multifamily assets as well as residential mortgage-backed securities, special situations, and opportunistic credit origination.

Vantage Data Centers is expanding its footprint in Virginia with a new campus around Fredericksburg. The company this week announced plans for a $2 Billion, 192 Megawatts campus near Fredericksburg in Stafford County. VA4 will house liquid-cooled three data centers on 82 acres totalling approximately 929,000 Square Feet. Ground has been broken, and the first building is scheduled to open in late 2027.

Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing (MSREI) and Global Student Accommodation (GSA) have acquired a US student housing portfolio valued at more than $1 Billion from a partnership between Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) and Landmark Properties. The portfolio of eight student housing assets includes The Retreat at Corvallis, The Standard at State College, The Metropolitan State College, The Standard at Charlottesville, The Retreat at Gainesville, The Standard at College Station, The Retreat at Kennesaw, and The Standard at Raleigh.

The New York-based firm said that on her departure from Blackstone, Co-Head Nadeem Meghji will become sole Global Head of Blackstone Real Estate Business.

NEPI Rockcastle, Europe’s third largest listed retail real estate company with a portfolio value of more than €8 Billion ($9.2 Billion USD), has decided to appoint Marek Noetzel as its designated CEO, effective April 1, 2026. Noetzel was confirmed as the company’s permanent COO in June 2022 and is responsible for its operations across 60 properties in eight countries in Central and Eastern Europe, where NEPI Rockcastle is also the largest owner, operator, and developer of shopping centers in the region.
