A RealFoundations study on NAREIT's Leader in the Light (LitL) Program found that participating companies increased total investment in energy efficient projects by almost 30% from 2011 to 2013. The study also determined that savings from sustainability projects in 2014 almost doubled the previous three-year moving average.
