RF Volunteers with Agape, Serves the DFW Community
Shelter, Sustenance and Stability for Women and Children in North Texas
June 2017 | Dallas, TX – On Saturday, June 24th, volunteers from RealFoundations partnered with Agape Resource & Assistance Center, Inc. to construct an on-premise utility building at one of Agape’s housing facilities in Plano, TX. Agape is a non-profit organization committed to providing shelter, sustenance and stability to women and children in the North Texas area. The completion of this project, which also included new landscaping at the home, will allow future volunteers to provide bi-weekly lawn care maintenance for the current family.
“Agape is so honored and excited to have the hands and hearts of folks at RealFoundations support our work with homeless women and children”, says Janet Collinsworth, Founder and Executive Director at Agape. “The shed the RF team built at our new Agape residential property will allow us to store yard maintenance equipment in a safe, easy-to-access on-site location so our wonderful maintenance volunteers can come weekly and easily keep the yards trimmed and tidy. It is especially heartwarming to me to have friends and associates whom I value and respect in the professional realm work alongside me to passionately support the vulnerable neighbors in our communities who desperately need help so they can work towards sustainable, independent living. The strong work ethic and social responsibility that makes RF a success as a professional organization are also benefiting our community for the greater good of all.”
RealFoundations has been supporting Agape for many years through various contributions and sponsorship, including the North Texas Giving Day and the Caring Hearts Golf and Tennis Classic, as well as completing similar construction projects. The RF team looks forward to their continued relationship with Agape, pitching in whenever possible and giving back to the community.
