Chris Shaida is an Executive Managing Director and founder of RealFoundations. Chris brings over 23 years of real estate industry experience to RealFoundations. He has played an essential role in building and managing real estate information technology consulting practices both within a “Big 4” management consulting firm and a real estate focused professional services firm. Mr. Shaida founded RealFoundations to provide a place where like-minded professionals are able focus their deep industry and solution knowledge and passion to help improve the operations of our real estate industry and corporate real estate clients.
Mr. Shaida has experience in each of our defined market sectors, with particular depth of knowledge in the Homebuilder and Corporate Real Estate segments. Mr. Shaida and his teams have served as trusted business advisors to some of the most recognized names in the Real Estate Industry, including: Kaufman & Broad, Hovnanian, Centex, Shea Homes, GIC and Simon Properties.
Prior to founding RealFoundations, Mr. Shaida was a Partner in the Real Estate Information Technology Practice of both Ernst & Young and Kenneth Leventhal & Company. Before joining Kenneth Leventhal & Company, Mr. Shaida served as the CIO of a multi-national construction services company.
Chris lives in New York with his wife and two children.
Mark Callin has 20 years combined experience in providing strategic, financial, business improvement and technology services to clients in the real estate industry. Mark is highly experienced in providing operational and systems integration services to private and public builders and developers. He has extensive knowledge of construction/homebuilding, development operations and financial business processes as well as the technologies used to support those operations.
Mark is a recognized leader and sought after for his expertise in providing strategic planning, diagnostic analysis, business process improvement, solution blueprint, systems integration, solution implementation, merger integration, and program/ project management services to the building industry.
Prior to founding Real Foundations, Mark was Consulting Area Managing Partner for the Engineering, Construction and Real Estate practice with Ernst & Young LLP and a Senior Auditor specializing in the real estate industry with KPMG Peat Marwick. He is a licensed CPA in the State of California.
Mark lives in Newport Beach.
David Stanford is an Executive Managing Director and founder of RealFoundations with over 20 years of experience providing strategic financial and operational improvement services to clients in the property and building industries. Mr. Stanford leads our Owner/Operator and Investment Management practices and is responsible for the corporate development activities of our firm. Additionally, he is responsible for implementing the global presence and alliance program of RealFoundations.
David is highly experienced in providing large-scale operational and systems integration services to private and public real estate owner/operators and institutional investors. He has directed client teams in the execution of large business improvement projects, long-range technology plans, packaged technology selections and solution implementations. Mr. Stanford is also highly experienced in assisting management teams with the alignment of business strategy and operational execution. Some of his clients include the most respected real estate organizations in the world, including: AIMCO, Duke, GIC, ING, Bank of America, Walmart, Forest City Enterprises, Hines Interests, ProLogis and Westfield Group.
Prior to founding RealFoundations Mr. Stanford was the Area Managing Partner of Ernst & Young's real estate practice in Dallas. He also worked in the Transaction Advisory group of Kenneth Leventhal & Company.
David resides in Dallas, Texas.
Justyna Brooks is the Human Resources Generalist for RealFoundations. Justyna has 8 years of experience in full life cycle recruiting and talent management with her recent focus having been solely on leading the human resource function at RealFoundations. Her professional career track has included recruitment, employee relations, coordinating and implementing HR policies and procedures, administration of payroll and benefits, and compliance.
Through her experience, Justyna has developed an exceptional background in people and recruitment and a professional style based on integrity, excellent communication, and superior high-touch customer service.
Prior to joining RealFoundations in October of 2007, Justyna was a Creative Recruiter for Update Graphics working with top creative firms in New York City.

Tony Dodder is a Director with RealFoundations with 17+ years of experience providing leadership in the acquisition and development of Talent and Resources. Tony leads the Resource function at RealFoundations. Mr. Dodder and his team have worked at some of the most respected professional service organizations in the world helping them deliver high quality management consulting projects for their clients.
Previously, Mr. Dodder led Cap Gemini Ernst & Young’s Resource Management Team for the J.D. Edwards practice. In addition, Tony was a key contributor to the creation of Ernst & Young’s virtual IT deployment center, Net-Strike Worldwide.
Tony has an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Master in Organizational Development.

Amanda Kennedy has 14 years of experience with RealFoundations as Controller from 2000-2011, and was named Chief Accounting Officer in 2011. Amanda is responsible for the management and oversight of global finance, accounting and reporting activities and operational analysis.
Prior to joining RealFoundations, Amanda served as Controller for a Dallas-based technology consulting firm, and gained over 4 years of experience in public accounting as an Audit Senior with BDO Seidman, LLP and King, Griffin &amp; Adamson, P.C., providing professional accounting and assurance services to both public and private businesses across a variety of industries.
Amanda is a certified public accountant. She lives in Dallas, Texas with her husband and two children.
Formerly part of the senior management team of IBM UKI’s Asset Management Group and a leader of their Real Estate & Facilities practice area, Andrew Carey is widely regarded for his thought leadership in providing strategic financial and operational improvement services to owners, operators, occupiers of and investors in real property. Andrew brings more than 25 years expertise in the real estate and facilities industry to RealFoundations, and joins the firm as its growth in Europe is accelerating. As part of the senior management team, Andrew works within the rapidly growing Business Intelligence, Business Process Improvement, System Planning and Building Technology & Sustainability practices.
Much of Andrew’s background entails leading transformational programs involving organizational change, business process improvement and supporting Information Technology processes from initial concept through successful implementation. He is also highly experienced in assisting management teams with the alignment of business strategy to operational execution, and has served as a trusted business advisor with regard to building technologies and sustainability.
Prior to IBM, Mr. Carey was an Associate Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting (‘PwC’) in the United Kingdom as well as Coopers & Lybrand before its merger with PwC. He holds an MBA and is a Chartered Engineer.
Andrew resides in Guildford, England with his wife and two sons.
Paul Chen is a Director with RealFoundations with 20+ years of real estate experience in North America and Asia. Paul has worked with some of the largest real estate investors, developers, and operators in Asia and the Middle East. He has helped real estate companies to improve operating platforms and to enhance performance through optimizing business processes, organizational capabilities, and technology accelerators. Over the past few years, Paul has worked with real estate companies to develop data models and forward-looking analytics capabilities to increase transparency and enhance performance.
Paul is active with industry organizations and is a frequent presenter at real estate conferences. Paul has supported the APREA Best Practices Handbook by writing a “how to” implementation guide and was a presenter at the APREA Best Practices Awards. He is also a Vice-Chairman of the China Real Estate Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong Chapter, an organization devoted to bridging business opportunities between Greater China real estate businesses.
Paul has an undergraduate degree in Economics from UC Berkeley and received his MBA from the University of North Carolina. He is also fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese.
Paul is based in Hong Kong.
Robert has over 19 years of experience focusing on the technology, operational and financial areas of the real estate industry, working with the owner/operator, corporate real estate and real estate capital market industry clients. He specializes in system diagnostics, selections and implementations; project management, process improvement, merger integration and organizational change management.
Robert has built lasting relationships with several of the most respected names in the industry including: Bank of America, Equity Residential, ING REIM Asia, The Link REIT, TIAA-CREF and Walmart International. During his career, Robert has managed the execution of global projects, managed system implementations and provided IT strategy and change management guidance.
Prior to joining RealFoundations as a founding employee, Robert held audit and consulting positions with Price Waterhouse and Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal.

Mr. D'Angelo is a Managing Director of RealFoundations serving our investment management and corporate real estate clients in addition to leading our collaborative work practice. John brings over 18 years of real estate industry experience to RealFoundations. He spent over 10 years in a 'Big 4' consultancy, during which he lead a real estate information technology practice in San Francisco and then their collaborative work practice for the West Coast.
John has experience in the investment manager, corporate real estate, homebuilder, multi-family developer / manager, and retail developer / manager market sub-segments. He and his teams have developed trusted relationships with some of the most respected organizations in the world, including: Clarion Partners, GIC, JP Morgan Asset Management, Shorenstein, TIAA-CREF, the Bank of America, Jones Lang LaSalle and Simon Properties.
Mr. D'Angelo joined RealFoundations in 2003. Prior to joining RealFoundations, John was a Senior Manager with CapGemini Ernst & Young, the Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Group and initially Kenneth Leventhal & Company. Before this litany of consulting firm mergers, Mr. D'Angelo was with Grubb & Ellis.

Kevin has over 34 years of combined experience in the commercial real estate and Big Four management consulting industries. Kevin plays a key role as a leader in long-term strategic account relationship development and is highly experienced managing large, complex global clients. Leveraging his 15 years of commercial real estate experience and 19 years of management consulting experience, Kevin effectively manages priority account relationships with owner/operator, institutional investor/advisor and corporate occupier sector clients.
Prior to joining RealFoundations, Kevin spent five years with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as a Priority Account Team Leader and Client Relationship Director for the Southern California Practice. In that role, he managed PwC's relationships with Fortune 500 priority accounts and coordinated client account team activities across all functional areas.
Prior to PwC, Kevin spent 12 years with Ernst & Young, LLP. As the Pacific Southwest Director of Sales and Marketing for EY Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Group, Kevin led regional real estate consulting, audit and tax business development activities across the industry with institutional investors, owner/operators, developers, homebuilders, service providers and hospitality clients.
Mr. Harrigan resides in Los Angeles.
John Holzman is a Managing Director with RealFoundations. He has 15 years of experience managing and consulting on operations and technology for real estate investment managers, corporate occupiers, real estate service providers, retail and office/industrial REITs, and multifamily owner/operators in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
Prior to joining RealFoundations in December 2003, John served as the Chief Operating Officer of a boutique event design and production company in New York. He also helped launch an Internet start-up firm, and spent two years as a Senior Consultant with Ernst &amp; Young’s High Growth Middle Market Consulting practice. John earned his MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business in 1998, with a focus on Management.
John lives in London with his wife and two children.
Rob brings over 15 years of experience in the Real Estate industry working with Investment Managers, Owner/Operators and Developers. He has extensive experience with multinational real estate clients operating in Australia, Asia, Europe and North America advising on technology and strategic initiatives.
Over the last 15 years Rob has been responsible for the design of strategic, technology and operating models, solution selections, multinational technology implementations and business process design. His clients include AMP Capital, Hines Interests, ING Real Estate Asia, Land Securities and Lend Lease.
Prior to joining RealFoundations, Mr. Kearnes operated his own real estate technology consultancy based in London and was part of the retail centre management team for a large CBD mall situated in Sydney, Australia.
Rob lives in Melbourne with his wife.
Mr. Lubieniecki is a Managing Director of RealFoundations and leads the firm’s corporate real estate practice. Ed has over 25 years experience as a real estate management consultant. His experience with global corporate and institutional clients includes an extensive variety of assignments of significant complexity.
For corporate clients, Ed has been responsible for the planning and implementation of technology strategies and systems implementation. His experience includes strategic business planning, portfolio optimization, organizational assessments and design, business process improvements, expense reviews, outsourcing, benchmarking, and merger integration assignments. A representative sample of his clients includes The Walt Disney Company, Walmart, Iron Mountain and the Stockbridge Capital Group.
Mr. Lubieniecki is a former Chair of the Board of Directors for the Open Standards Consortium for Real Estate. OSCRE is an affiliation of real estate companies, organizations and services providers assembled to establish global industry standards for real estate information exchange.
Prior to joining RealFoundations, Mr. Lubieniecki was a Partner in Ernst & Young's real estate advisory practice in addition to serving as the National Director of Consulting for a National Brokerage Firm.
Ed lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife and daughter.
Phillip has over 20 years of experience working within the engineering, construction and real estate markets, focusing primarily on commercial owner/operators and real estate investment firms. Phillip specializes in strategic information systems planning, operational diagnostic assessments, business transformation, post-merger integration, technology implementation methods, and international deployment strategies.
Mr. McCorkle has built lasting relationships with several of the most respected names in the industry including: AIMCO, Atrium European Real Estate, Citycon Oyj, Developers Diversified Realty, Equity One, Gazit Globe, Granite Properties, Hines Interests, Invesco, JP Morgan, Liberty Property Trust, Post Properties, The Link REIT and Shorenstein. During his career, Phillip has managed a number of global projects focusing on financial and property management functions, provided IT strategy advisory services, provided change management guidance, and provided oversight of post-merger integration services.

Brent is a Managing Director at RealFoundations serving our investment manager and corporate real estate clients for over 12 years. He specializes in the design and execution of global transformation, IT strategy and process reengineering projects.
Brent has built lasting relationships with several of the most respected names in the industry including JP Morgan Asset Management, TIAA-CREF, and Clarion Partners. In the investment management industry, Brent has led several projects focused on front-office systems and processes to improve decision-making related to real estate investments. Brent is also a lead designer and facilitator in our RealDiscovery collaborative work practice.
Prior to joining RealFoundations in 2003, Brent served as a Senior Manager and facilitator for CapGemini’s Accelerated Solutions Environment. Prior to that, he was a manager with Ernst & Young LLP consulting with fortune 500 companies and an Analyst at Northwestern Mutual.
Brent resides in Cleveland, Ohio with his wife and three children.
Dylan Rhea is a Managing Director with RealFoundations and leads the firm’s homebuilding practice. He brings over 15 years of both domestic and international real estate industry experience to RealFoundations in both the public and private sectors, working with clients to deliver key projects in the areas of business transformation, target operating model development, long-term technology strategy, and enterprise platform implementations.
Across the span of his career, Dylan has focused on homebuilding, construction/development, owner/operator, corporate service provider, and real estate investment market segments. He has forged trusted relationships with global clients such as Morgan Stanley, Jones Lang LaSalle, Simon Property Group, AMP Capital Investors, Developers Diversified Realty, and Boston Properties, as well as Top 20 public builders KB Home and Ryland Homes.
Prior to joining RealFoundations, Dylan held consulting positions with both Ernst & Young and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young as a part of their real estate and technology consulting practices.

Dan Sterk, one of our owner/operator/REIT service line leaders, brings 18 years of industry expertise working exclusively in real estate and serving over 30 real estate organizations throughout his career. He has project experience in all facets of the real estate life cycle including: development, construction, leasing workflow, property management, and facilities management.
Mr. Sterk has built lasting relationships with some of the biggest and most respected names in real estate including: GGP, Inland American, PCVST, The Related Companies, Brixmor, Equity One, Compass Rock and Edens. He has managed the execution of projects focused on Core Financials replacement, Merger/Acquisition Integration, Enterprise Content Management, Business Intelligence/Portal Reporting, Leasing Workflow, and IT/Accounting sourcing, as well as overall IT Strategy / Organization.
Prior to joining RealFoundations Mr. Sterk spent eight years working with Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Group. He participates in ICSC, NAREIT and The Real Estate Council.

Dale Smith is a Managing Director with RealFoundations. He has over 22 years of experience serving the real estate industry in business process optimization, system implementation, training strategy development, change management and consulting. This experience spans all areas of real estate including retail, office, industrial, corporate, multifamily and homebuilding. Dale currently manages the Technology Support Services team for RealFoundations Managed Services.
Dale’s experience prior to joining RealFoundations includes serving as Vice President of Professional Services for RealPage, Inc. and Vice President of Services at Hyphen Solutions.
Dale lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife and two children.
David Srour brings over 25 years of industry leadership and experience to his work with Owner/Operators, REITs and Developers. Mr. Srour leads our global Managed Services practice. He has extensive experience in off-shore production, IT strategic planning, back office optimization and systems implementation projects.
Mr. Srour and his teams have developed trusting relationships with some of the most respected real estate organizations in the world, including Inland Group of Companies, Related Companies, Retail Opportunity Investment Corp and Retail Properties of America.
Prior to joining RealFoundations, Mr. Srour was a Manager with Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Group and Senior Manager with KPMG Consulting. In addition, David has served as a Chief Operating Officer in the technology industry and as Senior Director of IT for a public office/REIT.
David lives in Florida with his wife and two children.
John Brausch is a Director with Real Foundations with over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry. John is a CPA, CMA, CFM and CGMA. John is a former Chief Accounting Officer and formerly served as Vice-President of Shared Services for a large publicly traded office REIT, and Vice-President of Property Accounting for a large privately held retail REIT. He has significant real estate experience and his clients have included one of the largest mall owners in the world, a multi-family, office and retail firm, a retailer, one of the nation’s largest owners of single family homes, and several multi-family companies. His experience includes real estate property and corporate accounting, managed services and data governance with an emphasis on process analysis and improvement initiatives.
John is a former Chair of the Institute of Management Accounts and former Chair of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants. He has authored over two dozen articles on accounting and operational issues for Management Accounting and Strategic Finance magazines. His most recent article, “The FASB’s Process” a review of the book The FASB: the People, the Process and the Politics, appears in the April, 2016 issue of Strategic Finance.
Ron has over 20 years of real estate experience with a core focus on Business Process Outsourcing "BPO" and Enterprise Technology Solutions for the commercial real estate industry, including: REITs, advisors, brokers, insurance and financial institutions. Ron is responsible for Business Development and Customer Relationships leading the joint development and implementation of clients key strategic projects or long term solutions that reduce back office costs, increase efficiencies, and streamline operations.
Prior to RealFoundations, Ron was a Vice President at Accenture Credit Services and formed the “Real Estate Equity Service group” at RR Donnelley Global Outsourcing.
Karen Gillen is a Director with RealFoundations responsible for developing new products, starting with a new Data Service for its Managed Services group. With over 15 years in the financial services industry and particular expertise in real estate and private equity, she is highly experienced in envisioning and executing large scale business change initiatives, operations build outs, business and technology integrations, and commercialization of new products and services.
Previously, she undertook a variety of change efforts at J.P. Morgan including managing the integration and commercialization of J.P. Morgan Partners’ private equity accounting and technology capabilities into a third party business within Alternative Investment Services.
Karen also drove the successful expansion of J.P. Morgan’s private equity fund accounting services to real estate and infrastructure institutional investor clients.
She lives in Brooklyn, NY with her partner and daughter.
Van Littrell is a Director with RealFoundations with 30+ years of experience of financial and operational experience in the real estate industry. Since 2008 Van has focused his energy on providing outsourced lease abstraction, lease administration and accounting solutions to clients in the real estate industry.
Van has worked with a wide variety of real estate firms, from startups, to large publically traded REITS and global real estate organizations. Prior to joining RealFoundations, he served in various financial and operational capacities with national and regional real estate firms with AUM ranging from 500 million to in excess of 3 billion dollars. Mr. Littrell began his career as a CPA with Deloitte & Touche, serving as an audit manager with a principle focus on the real estate industry.
Van lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife.
John MacMullen is a Director with RealFoundations. He has 20+ years of accounting experience and deep finance expertise within commercial real estate. John brings 7 years of experience in managed services accounting engagements with oversight in all facets of outsourcing engagements including sales support, pilot development, transition planning and process transitioning. He has also developed significant knowledge of property accounting operations, client reporting and performance measurement principles.
Mr. MacMullen’s background also includes serving as the Director of Real Estate Accounting at a major REIT with $4.5 billion in assets as well as over 10 years of client reporting experience with one of the largest real estate investment advisory firms.
John graduated from The University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor’s of Science-Accounting degree.
John lives in the Atlanta, Ga area with his wife and daughter.
Krishnan Srinivasan has 17 years’ experience in the Finance and Accounting industry, with 15 years focused on BPO / KPO. He has expertise in Finance and Accounting transitions with specialization in General Ledger, Fund and Investment Accounting, Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, CAM Audits, Lease Administration, Financial Analysis and Due Diligence.
Prior to joining RealFoundations, Krishnan was the Account Lead for the Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Management group in Accenture. He was instrumental in building and setting up the entire Accounting team in India before relocating to the United States. Krishnan has in-depth understanding of the processes and challenges involved in handling back offices, business process evaluation, budgets and management information reporting.
Krishnan lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife and two children.
Lauren has more than 14 years of experience in real estate, both domestically and internationally, helping real estate companies solve complex business and technology problems. Her areas of expertise include business process design, technology strategy and implementation, project management, diagnostic analysis and change management. She has delivered services across multiple real estate sectors, including residential, owner/operator, institutional investors and fund managers. Lauren currently manages the Application Support Services team for RealFoundations Managed Services.
Prior to joining RF, Lauren worked in commercial real estate representing tenants.
Lauren lives in Dallas, Texas with her husband.
John is a Director with RealFoundations. He has 15+ years of success in high-profile sales, business development and operations leadership and delivers year over year revenue, profit, margin and cost results. John has transformed inefficient and ineffective departments and groups into cohesive and dedicated teams driven to achieve unparalleled results. He co-chaired the development of the go-to-market plan for Energy Supply Advisory service focused on mid-market accounts list, as well as led the process redesign of Procurement Operations that resulted in a 35% reduction in headcount and streamlined the RFP and vendor selection.
Prior to joining RealFoundations, John served as the Vice President of Sales for Ecova, a total energy and sustainability management company, and as the Senior Vice President of Sales and Client Operations for LPB Energy Management (acquired by Ecova 2012). John began his professional career with XO Communications in 1996 where he held a number of management roles.
John joined RealFoundations in 2015 and manages the Energy Operations Support for RealFoundations Managed Services.
Julius Caten is a Director with RealFoundations. He has over 25 years of experience in the technology, real estate and energy industries. Julius has driven projects related to energy management strategy, energy operations, enterprise energy management and performance reporting. He has also designed and implemented large scale Wi-Fi and building automation systems, access control systems, visitor management systems, meter reading systems (electric, water, gas), and both voice and WAN and LAN data telecommunications for wireless and wire line, wireless vehicle, people, and asset location.
Prior to joining RealFoundations, Julius served as Chief Information Officer for R.E. Technologies providing the Multi-Family industry with Internet based leasing, tracking, and lead generation tools. While at R.E. Technologies he was a founding member of the NMHC MITS data standards group and served as the co-chair of the data standards committee that produced the MITS standard.
Julius lives in Dallas, Texas.
Natalie Wilson is a Director with RealFoundations with 14+ years of experience in management consulting. Natalie is part of the Energy Solutions practice at RealFoundations. Mrs. Wilson has helped numerous clients achieve portfolio-wide change in the areas of energy efficiency, utility management, facility management and other building automation systems.
Natalie specializes in project management, process improvement, change management, strategic direction, systems selection and implementation.
