DALLAS, Oct. 30, 2018 /PRNewswire | Today via PR Newswire, RealFoundations announced completion of the firm’s most recent Yardi Voyager 7S implementation project for JPI Companies ("JPI"). JPI engaged RealFoundations ("RF") to provide strategic guidance and program management services during the recent migration from Great Plains to Yardi® Investment Management and Yardi® Job Cost, solutions from the industry-leading Yardi real estate technology platform. With over $2 billion in equity under management nation-wide, JPI recognized the need to replace their legacy accounting system and implement a new, more robust environment, creating an improved integration between their financial and construction systems.

To support the upward trajectory and future growth of the Company, and to streamline business processes within the new enterprise accounting solution, JPI and RealFoundations collaborated on the design of system configuration, leading practices and the deployment of the Yardi platform for JPI's unique predevelopment, development, construction and investment management requirements.

JPI has developed or acquired over 340 projects (consisting of over 100,000 units) that are best in Class A multifamily communities across 26 states. With 19 projects underway, they needed the implementation to have minimal impact on day-to-day operations. October 2018 | New York City, NY - Through the devoted efforts of New York based charity, Crossing Thresholds, a new primary school will soon be built in honor of RealFoundations.  The school will be home to 350 under-served children in the Kibera Slum (Nairobi, Kenya).

Crossing Thresholds is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating learning opportunities for some of the poorest children in East Africa.  Working closely with local grassroots visionaries and educators, Crossing Thresholds has successfully opened 4 primary schools and 1 high school since 2008, providing over 1,200 local children with daily nutrition, emotional support and hope.

Crossing Thresholds is embarking upon its next school-building project in January 2019.  This will be a fifth primary school in Kibera and will serve students from preschool through upper primary (ages 3-14).  The new school will include a library, dining hall, kitchen and computer center, all focused on helping children gain educational, social and practical life skills.  According to Mr. Via, “Once completed, the new school will allow another 350 children to eat, to learn, and to walk forward with more confidence and hope.” On November 10th, 2018 at the Crossing Thresholds Gala in New Canaan, CT, RealFoundations will be officially honored with a pledge to dedicate the school before the end of 2019.

DALLAS, Oct. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire | RealFoundations, one of the world's foremost providers of consulting and managed services for the real estate industry, today announced completion of a comprehensive, 18-month technology transformation project for Mid-America Apartments (MAA) following its 2016 merger with Post Properties.

MAA, the largest U.S. multifamily REIT by unit count, now benefits from a new consolidated, scalable system for highly efficient portfolio accounting and resident/tenant management, and is better positioned to take advantage of digital technologies – key for continuing business growth and expansion.

MAA owns approximately 100,000 units nationwide, has a total market capitalization of approximately $15 billion and is ranked No. 1 in the 2018 NMHC Top 50 Owners List, published annually by National Multifamily Housing Council. The company engaged RealFoundations to provide strategic planning oversight after the merger. With a focus on business process improvement, MAA's top objectives were to reduce the number of disparate technologies each original entity utilized and to more fully incorporate leading practices in property and portfolio accounting, operations and asset management and analysis.

During the technology integration strategy planning sessions, facilitated by RealFoundations, it became apparent to MAA's leadership team that broader use of Yardi® Voyager, one of the leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms for the real estate industry, could better position the organization for growth and efficiency. The project eventually entailed implementation of solutions from the Yardi® Multifamily Suite for residential and commercial management, general ledger, job cost, maintenance and online leasing and resulted in what is believed to be the largest Yardi data transformation to date.

"This merger gave MAA a unique opportunity to realize synergies from both scale and aligned practices across two high quality portfolios," according to Al Campbell, EVP & Chief Financial Officer, MAA, who was the sponsor for this business transformation. "RealFoundations led us through a process of assessing the two organizations' business processes and supporting technology stack in order to build a platform to combine the two companies and solidify MAA's foundation. Throughout the engagement, the MAA and RealFoundations teams faced several challenges, including the full redesign of the existing charts of accounts. Also, MAA needed to produce consolidated corporate financial reports during the post-merger, Voyager implementation period, using data from the original disparate systems. RealFoundations created a "data bridge" to transfer information from older systems to the new system of record, standardizing data and establishing a new chart of accounts, which permitted timely, accurate and consolidated portfolio reporting throughout the duration of the project.
